Terms of Use

Everything on Melodician is free to read, with no account and no gate. Use it to learn, to teach a lesson, to print a chart for a student. What you may not do is scrape the site wholesale to republish it, or run automated traffic heavy enough to affect other visitors.

A chord shape is a fact about an instrument and nobody owns it. Play them, write them down, teach them, put them in your own notes. That applies to the shapes themselves, not to how this site draws them.

The diagrams, audio, page text, code, name and logo are ours. Print the diagrams for yourself or for your students as much as you like. Do not copy them into another website, app or product without asking first, and do not present them as your own work.

Where a song is named, we name it and the chords it plays. There are no tabs, no lyrics and no arrangements on this site, deliberately. Song titles, artist names and recordings belong to their owners, and naming them here is not a claim on them and not an endorsement by them.

Every shape is generated from chord data and checked against the chord's own formula, and song attributions are checked against at least two independent chord charts. Even so, published charts disagree with each other, capos change which shape a player actually fingers, and mistakes happen. The site is offered as it is, with no guarantee that any given page is free of error.

If you find something wrong, tell us at support@melodician.com and it gets fixed. Those are the messages we most want.

Some links point to lesson providers and other outside pages, and some of those are or will become affiliate links, marked where they appear. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain or what they do with your visit. See the privacy policy for what that means in practice.

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, and it may be unavailable or changed at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Lithuanian or EU law that cannot be limited by agreement.

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Lithuanian law governs them, and the courts of Lithuania have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your own country of residence.
